We fund individuals who are either a member of a Dumfries & Galloway drama club, or a student of at least secondary school age, who want to further their skills in any aspect of theatre by tuition or attending a course. We will, for example, fund training in performance, directing, writing, costume design, set design, lighting or sound.
To be eligible for a grant you must:
• be of at least secondary school age, OR
• be a member of a Dumfries & Galloway drama club of at least 12 months’ standing at date of application, OR
• you may also apply if you live in Scotland and have a link with Drama in Dumfries & Galloway
Commemorative Named Awards
These awards, the Edward Ballard and the Daniel Gaskell awards, will be made to specially talented performers. Applicants should be able to show some prior involvement in drama, and be prepared to demonstrate their skill, if necessary, by performance in the future.
Level of Funding
Annually we aim to distribute in the region of £1,000 between applicants.
